Q: Will I need to have a ride home after my surgery?
A: Always check with your doctor, but it is our policy that if you are
under any type of non-local anesthesia (General Anesthesia or Monitored
Anesthesia Care) you will need to have a person with you at the time of
surgery who will be able to drive you home. As a general rule, if you
are going to fall asleep during your procedure, count on needing a ride
home.
Q: Should I eat prior to my procedure?
A: Again, each case is unique and you should always check with your
doctor about eating before a procedure. In addition, about a week before
your scheduled procedure, someone from our center will call you to
discuss prep instructions and requirements like this.
Q: Will I need to pay the Surgical Center anything when I come in for my procedure?
A: We check with your insurance provider before your procedure and if
you have not met your deductible, we will be asking you to make a
payment prior to the procedure.
Q: How long will my procedure take?
A: This is another question for your doctor because different procedures
take different amounts of time. However, please know that we value your
time and will always work as quickly and safely as possible to get you
on your way.
